Stratus OCT produces highly detailed images of the retina. It is the first and only instrument that can see below the surface of the retina and examine the retina layers. Stratus OCT never touches the eye, so there is no discomfort. It is also safe and requires only minutes to scan the eye. The retina is the innermost lining of the inside of the eye. It is made up of several layers and works like a film camera. The lens of the eye focuses images on the retina, similar to the way the lens of a camera focuses images on the films.
These images are transmitted to the brain by the optic nerve and this is what enable people to see.
Soyuz Medical Imaging and Diagnostics Limited use this breakthrough images to detect very early signs of glaucoma and other abnormalities of the retina, including defected retina, macular holes, age – related macular degeneration (AMD) and many more.
Carl Zeiss Humphrey Matrix
The Humphrey matrix Perimeter utilizes frequency doubling technology. It represents a significant breakthrough in visual field testing by combining early glaucoma detection capabilities and basic glaucoma management tools.
The matrix doubles as an in-office glaucoma screenings with 35 second supra – threshold testing and it provide up to 69 stimuli to characterize visual field defects to facilitate accurate diagnosis. We use the Humphrey Matrix for Glaucoma Screening.
